    >
    > Unite has confirmed its health membership voted “yes” by 64% to accept the improved offer tabled two weeks ago following positive discussions with Nicola Sturgeon, Health Secretary Humza Yousaf, the NHS and trade unions.
    >
    > Strikes by Unite which were set to hit the Scottish Ambulance Service and the wider NHS are now off.
    >
    > Meanwhile, members of Scotland’s largest NHS union Unison have voted to accept the pay offer, with 57% of NHS members voting “yes”.

    > The improved offer represents on average a 7.5% increase across NHS Scotland with up to 11.24% for the bottom pay bands.

    > The offer also includes a commitment to reduce the working week from 37.5 hours to 36 hours with no loss of pay.

  2. Snp want to actually stop the strikes where as the Tories want the strikes to happen so it inconveniences others and drives voters to their party.

  3. Was not a bad deal to be honest not brilliant but not terrible either.

Makes me wonder if the Torys will match or better to do a finger point one up(doubt).

    This is impressive.

  5. Tories actually gunna do a mad one, kill off chunks of the old (their only real voting base left) all to dunk on the nurses…

  6. That’s literally how strikes have always worked. Union asks for 15, gov says 5, all parties settle for 10 and everyone gets back to work happy as Larry. Whitehall has forgotten how to do strikes and instead are attempting to outlaw them (like that would do a thing, pure posturing by a cabinet that literally have nothing else but bluster to bring to the table).

  7. Still quite a significant pay cut this year and no correction for a decade of wage reduction. Its better than what is being offered in England but its still a bad deal for nurses.

  8. Its that goddamned simple, and Starmer isn’t even pretending he’ll take this open goal against the Tories. Its Britain, we respect NHS workers a lot more than we trust politicians!
