This is a horrible idea, I read on vrtnws that they won’t be fining for phone usage and not wearing a seatbelt, both of which have been proven to be deadly.
Protest all you like, but not at the risk of human lives.

Looks like the cop stationed at my daughter’s school missed the memo. He arrived and immediately started writing tickets for the people who parked wrong. Absolute legend, that guy.
I hope they go hard against the cops who stop writing fines.
You’re in Belgium. You are fully protected to go on strike and get an income while striking.
Choose to strike or choose to work. Going to work cashing your wage, public’s tax money, while not actually working is a disgrace. Even worse when you are the person that needs to uphold the law and protect society.
Does this now mean Free Parking for all too?
I was unaware traffic violations where being fined in general actually. Apart from speeding, but that’s automised.
