High court to rule on attempt to ban wild camping on Dartmoor | Land ownership

  1. As usual, the arseholes that don’t clean up after themselves will ruin access to wild spaces for everyone. I don’t have a solution to that problem other than forcing people to pay at least a nominal fee for camping and get a permission slip, so if they do cause a problem they can be traced and fined.

  2. This is going the way of the rich preventing people from canoeing and kayaking on rivers, so that they can sell the rights to access to fishermen (who were often absolutely psychotic about people boating near them fishing even in the months when paddle sports were allowed on rivers).

  3. The high court judges have probably already arranged a day to go shooting on the grounds following their upcoming “ruling”!

  4. In regards to the selfish asses who leave litter, Just set something up so you maybe go online or into post office, buy a weekend pass (for a fee that will not continually go up), keep ticket on u or on phone which may not prevent the littering people do totally, but will make them think twice if they know they their details and visits are recorded.
