The bigger the institution the bigger the corruption. The EU is no different to any other. I’m always baffled why the people that fiercely defend the EU think it’s a morally pure institution full of the best MEPs… reality is it’s mainly populated with failed domestic politicians… so hardly a shock.
The comment banded around of being on the Euro gravy train has been around for decades
I am very shocked that this has been virtually ignored on here, shocked I tell you!
Well done to the Belgian police. They did a great job
CONFIRMED: European Parliament Vice-President (now former) Eva #Kaili is being held in Haren Prison on the outskirts of Brussels, according to the Belgian Federal Prosecutors office. https://twitter.com/jackeparrock/status/1602620291976413184
I wonder why it’s called the EU corruption scandal and not the EP corruption scandal.
Good that it’s being treated seriously. When you have people with power, you will eventuelly get corruption. I would be more worried if nothing like this ever happened, as that likely mean corruption is getting burried.
Why am I not surprised italy is in the middle of a corruption scandal?
I am totally weirded out that italy is the 4th economic power in the union tbh with all the scandals and corruption we have.
