I get the subtext of “feel good, everyone in this together, link arms and help each other”, and that’s great and all, but it shouldn’t be fucking necessary.
I’m so incredibly grateful and thankful that my parents moved from the UK so many years ago.
Are there any notable charities that one can give to, to help these kinds of people out?
“Every charity is evidence of a Government that has failed its public.”
What a fucking mess they’ve made of the UK.
12 years of misrule by a party more concerned with having power than doing anything with it – other than stealing whatever they can.
Hate the name “warm bank” is it just to make it look less bad than it really is – essentially a shelter (which has worse connotations I suppose)
You can’t “bank” warmth… you’re going back to a frozen house at the end of the day
I’d like to see Tory MPs forced to spend time living in these people’s houses so they can experience what life is currently like for their constituents. They can then explain to them why they think it is acceptable for people to live like that in the 21st century. Let people really hear what their elected representatives think about their plight, one they have inflicted upon them.

Well, that’s all horrifying.
