‘Cowboytøj’ and ‘slut’, Is most likely Danish words in this case by the look of it. I could be wrong. Did your sister live somewhere else in Scandinavia for a while or perhaps a landlord at one point?

Its the swedish word for jeans
“Tøj” in place of _Tøy_ is a Danish give-away. (As is “koldt” and “slut”, for that matter…)

I feel like some kind of alarm should have gone off in the designers head when he saw “stopp slut”
Jeans are called pants-of-the-cowboy in some languages, in persian for example it’s called “patloon-e-cowboy”

I think it has to do with the fact that jeans are inherently an american product

Cowboy clothes. Distinctly an American connotation, but can apply equally to Argentina. Mexico, Australia, Canada, but why? All they generally are made of is cotton which shrinks. Does this imply cold water wash? Never heard of this in Canada where we have cowboys

Dane here. This is mixed Norwegian and Danish. Mørkt tøy is Norwegian, cowboytøj is Danish. It’s quiet normal to do this because the languages are so close to each other.
Cowboytøj in Danish is just denim products 🙂
