Lmao. Just wait for the 999 option on the Uber app
There will be preventable deaths and the blood will be solely on the hands of the tory government who has allowed our public services to stagnate over years of under investment, mismanagement and corruption.
They should make taxis respond to burglaries. At least someone will be charged.
If they paid the paramedics the equivalent of taxi fares they’d not have to strike.
Arranging a taxi is already an established and commonly used option by the ambulance service.
Ministers suggesting this as a novel idea probably just shows how disconnected they are from reality.
“Oh? This is urgent, you say? Unfortunately, I’ll have to charge extra if you want to get to hospital within the next hour. The ambulance will take twelve so, your call”
