This situation is of the British state’s own making.
The UVF, UDA, etc have been allowed to operate, and are treated as ‘just drug dealing criminals’ whilst simultaneously being allowed to threaten politicians, including US Congresspersons and members of the government of RoI.
Meanwhile, members of the British government and the police are providing character references for (alleged) UVF (who supposedly decommissioned 13 years ago) members caught with weapons in their possession, or meeting with the LCC, the administrative wing of these terrorist groups.
This just cannot go on, the (relative) peace NI has had for the past few years should not be being threatened in this manner.
For the avoidance of doubt, I have zero truck with the murderous scum on the other side too.
