I’m oddly kinda sad about this. I’d only align with their interests now and then, but saying what you will, they did show up for a lot of good causes we take for granted now, a long time before they were popular.
And on a more human level, there’s a lot to think about in the idea of people who gave years of time and energy to an org, one that was seldom given a friendly reception, deciding it’s time to call it a day.
I dunno, I get the jokes, but I think we’re poorer for the loss, honestly.
