Miscarriage is difficult enough in any circumstance, IMO it’s cruel to deprive the parents of something that might provide some sense of closure and make life a little easier.
Counterpoint: having to go and register a birth for a stillborn (after 28 weeks I think) is a horrendous experience
Trouble is to have a death certificate you have to have been considered alive, and we have chosen as a nation not to consider someone alive until they’re born.
Fine if you agree with that as most seem to, but it’s important to realise that this is a natural consequence of that stance.
