That’s a BBQ one you got. Little hole on the top where the regulator would clamp on, when you flick the switch it pushes it open.
So you’re likely to have to go back to the shops
They’ve sprayed a propane bottle yellow so it the wrong cylinder type bring it back where you got it fir a proper butane cylinder
I gonna need a hammer and a nail.

Landlord just happened to swing by and showed us how to do it, you just need to clamp the regulator down hard and break the metal seal! Working perfectly now
