That penalty though😭 it puts spaceX launches to shame
Normally I’m pretty gutted when we go out but I’m majorly gutted today.
Just because we were by far the better team, actually played good football and I firmly believe whoever won the match last night wins the world cup.
Some of us unwillingly because we were visiting relatives and had no escape. It’s been twenty years since I last ***had*** to watch a game of football.
It’s still a mind-numbingly boring sport and I have no idea how people become so impossibly *emotionally invested* in such a meaningless pastime.
For clarity – I’m a reformed football fan. I was a football head. I knew stats and facts, stood on the terraces, wore the colours, knew the songs. Then one day I saw through it all. I moved on.
For the record there is about 20 million football fans in the country, a 1/3 of the UK, so this is a near 100% watch rate of all footy fans.
I couldn’t give 2 craps but I was out with my mates to watch it (Was to see them and go drinking later) and I imagine a lot of others out on work night outs where watching too so the viewer numbers would be larger than the report.
Viewing figures are lower than in though they would be
“Crash out”?!? Really? Come on, that’s not right, it was a narrow defeat, not a disgrace by any means…..leave the sensationalist headlines to the Daily Fail
I enjoyed the game. Shame, some spicy decisions by the ref. Great match nonetheless. the French team was fantastic.
England teams – male or female – only seem to do well when they play every game of a tournament in England. Sadly that’s very rare.
got beaten by the better team that scored in open play. People blamed the referees but the team was still given two penalties in one game and could not take one of them. Having said that, they played well. No shame in losing to the reigning world champions. We just did not have the quality to beat them
Haven’t watched a second of this world cup. Complete farce with corruption and inhumane actions at every turn. We should all be boycotting it not rocking up and supporting. Disgusting event.
ROOKIE NUMBERS. I remember when 30 million people watched Eastenders when dirty-Den divorced Angie. Shit was cash
The fact that France gave away 3 penalties and had I think 4 bookings tells you all you need to know every time we were in with a chance they cropped us and brought us down
