Is dit niet al de tweede maal dat dit gebeurt? Wat zegt dit over onze interesse in het klimaatprobleem? Hoe is het mogelijk dat een regio steeds een heel land kan blokkeren en ons internationaal belachelijk kan maken?

    Besides Flanders is not necessarily blocking anything, the veto is making it so that there is no Belgian input for the final proposal that Czechia will make to the Council of Europe. It remains to be seen if all countries will agree with the current compromise and even if the Council is in agreement if the final bill will not be altered by parliament.

  3. “Ecorealisme” is altijd een smoesje voor conservatief beleid. Al een chance dat het een volledig irrelevante geste is.

    Wel grappig dat de (co)-auteurs van de studie die ze gebruikt om haar beleid te verdedigen zelf haar (kabinet’s) commentaar gaat nuanceren.

  6. A decision in line with all the other environmental policies taken by the Flemish government. Air quality, ecological status of rivers, deliberate pollution, nitrogen deposits, intensive agriculture, state of forests (or patch of 3 birches that count as a forest), soil erosion, concrete everywhere, alarming groundwater levels, biodiversity losses, all indicators are in red.

    Is this surprising anyone?
