Two of my favourite sounds: the silence of the forest and the wonderfully creaky snow underneath my feet Tags:finland 9 comments *crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch* The thing is that snow kills all the background noise and makes for an acoustically pleasant environment. It feels peaceful because there’s no echo. I’m gonna use this as my wallpaper now, thanks It’s magical and the forest right now is medicine for the soul. Beautiful picture. Idk why, but the creaking sound of walking on powder snow gives me shivers. Next month I will be in Rovaniemi, I’m so excited! Btw where did this picture taken? It’s beautiful:) When it’s really cold, the trees start making sounds too. A crack appearing to a frozen lake also sounds nice. Have you tried walking in a forest with snowshoes?
