Red List: MI5’s Culture War

  1. Reading about [The Economic League](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_League_(United_Kingdom)) is also fun. An organization that derived from the WW1 era deeply linked to the government and military that took a firmly anti-socialist stance, blacklisting workers, suppressing information, and passing out propaganda, that continued *right up until* [2009](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consulting_Association)*.*

I know to the lay public it sounds very conspiratorial but I think it adds a lot of credence to this idea that the more socialist wing of our politics, most recently in the form of Corbyn and McDonnell’s Labour, do actually face some kind of organized subversive resistance from “the establishment” that has its fingers in the business world, the media world, and the state itself.

  2. Not sure about carrying adverts for stuff on this sub but I’ve just put this on my Christmas list.

As an aside, I find that its interesting that most people are happy to accept that our security services went off on their own McCarthy era type crusades and witch hunts back in the day but are in complete denial about what ever both nationally and internationally their current political objectives and levels of fuckery may actually be.

These are the people who make or break governments and we have no idea who they even are, let alone what they are up to in the shadows or even why they are doing it.
