[This all comes after political figures such as Éric Zemmour and Jordan Bardella sought to vilify people of Maghrebi origin before the match. Calling them “enemies from within” and “false French.” Stéphane Ravier, senator of RN, went further, proposing to ban Moroccan flags in Marseille on the evening of the match by prefectural decree !](https://www.humanite.fr/sports/mondial-2022-au-qatar/france-maroc-quand-l-extreme-droite-tente-de-rafler-la-victoire-774712)

  2. I guess as France won without any controversy in the win against Morocco meant that this did not turn too bad (I know a teenager died and there was violence reported). Had Morocco won or if the French won due to some controversial decision during the game, the violence could have gone much worse with far right groups happy to fan the flames for their personal/political gain.

  3. l’inversion accusatoire atteint son paroxisme. sinon nice jean médecin saccagée mais là pas d’arrestations, ouf ce n’était pas l’extrême droite

  4. isn’t it ridiculous for far right to support French team considering that almost noone in this team is actually ethnic french?

maybe (just maybe) they are not far right at all? 🙂

  5. Fun way to spin the narrative. There were probably far rights there ( isn’t almost half the country “far right” ) but every video I’ve seen from Montpellier, grenoble, Lyon, Paris etc. paints a completely different picture.

  6. How many Morocco supporters were arrested? Seems like there were a lot those also looking for fights and rioting.
