Newest Poll in Thuringia, Germany for next state election

  1. I am at shock at how this came to be. The AfD is one of the worst things that can happen to our country and the others just hand it to them. Glueing yourself to roads is just giving them fuel.

  2. Low to near zero economic growth, light speed changes in our culture, net negative population growth, and a non-responsive political establishment. I am dismayed at this as much as any reasonable German, but let’s be honest, we know the solutions of how to get rid of extremists. We simply allow the current parties to get away with cowardly small thinking about the issues of our day. Perfect recipe for dogshit parties like the AfD and Die Linke to come in siphon off votes.

  3. When living in late-stage capitalism I suppose the political battle is between those who wish to smash the capitalist system and those who are willing to turn to fascism to clutch onto it.

  4. Just put a wall around Thüringen. It’s a beautiful forest, but when it comes to politics, well… We could need another national park anyway

  5. The issue is the eastern state derange more and more into a place where only AfD and one other party exists.

And in Thuringa somehow the Linke got into that position. And now all other parties decline and every vote becomes a “AfD or others”.

To this day, AfD lost every one of these votes. To the SPD in Brandenburg, to the CDU in Sachsen and Sachsen-Anhalt and to the Left in Thuringa.

But the more the AfD can play “we are the only oppositon group” and other democratic parties band together and stop competing with one another, which happens in Thuringa especially where CDU and FDP get blamed for every vote they don’t support the Left, the more AfD is gaining as the only party of Change.

They will grow till they reach 50% in the east with this, while falling into obscurity in the west.
