Well this is clearly wrong. France beat England in the world cup, therefore France is obviously more developed than England.

The Human Development Index is such a weird metric with some pretty unintuitive (to me) results. It’s always hard to tell when they are unintuitive because of unfair biases on my part, or just a weird choice of measurement / weighting.
uk was #4 in eu, after de,fr,it.
With how badly the uk is being run right now and living cost crisis, this may not remain true for long.
