Hello everyone!

Me and my sister-in-law are making a Spotify playlist and trying to put 1 song from each country in the world. I’m starting with european countries (aside from the ones I already knew), and would really appreciate your help!

**What are we looking for?**

Preferably a song not in English, and that really captures the feeling of your country’s music.

Also, I invite everyone to list my country (Brazil) song! I’m the one who chose it, it’s called [Águas de Março – Tom Jobim](https://open.spotify.com/track/1y7OxO5i6sfrHXAmUM77YG?si=4895e1f47e00497a)

**What countries are already in the playlist?**

So far we have:

* Brazil

* Finland

* Sweden

* Denmark

* Belgium

* Germany

* Switzerland

* Austria

* Italy

* France

* Luxembourg

* Portugal

* Slovakia

* Ireland

* Poland

* Czech Republic

* Slovenia

* Hungary

* Romania

* Serbia

* Croatia

* Montenegro

* Bosnia and Herzegovina

* Greece

* Macedonia

* Bulgaria

* Albania

* Faroe Islands*

* Japan*

* Mexico*

* Norway*

* Pakistan*

* San marino*

(ps. The ones with * we put there before starting asking here on reddit, and will probably change once we ask the proper community.)

Thank you and we hope you can contribute to this project 🙂

  1. Laužo šviesa by Foje did a ton for Lithuanian independence but yeah Trys Milijonai by Marijonas Mikutavičius is best for those type of thing

  2. Either “Lietuvos istorijos repas” whitch is literally the entirity of lithuanian history condensed in to a rap song, or “Kaifuok” whitch is kust a good song which every self respecting lithuanian should know

  3. Just my pick as I’m more into folk songs: Veronika Povilionienė – “teka saulė”, Modestyno – “nei vėjai pučia”

  4. Usually the first song that comes to my head when I hear name Brazil is Mas que nada either by Sergio Mendes (well or Jorge Ben Jor, although Sergio was the first one who introduced me to Brazilian music)

  5. Don’t know if it has to be iconic songs or something that depics current Lithuania’s music. I’ll share something from nowadays:

    This one gives me mystic Ancient Lithuania’s vibes:
    Migloko – Širmi žirgeliai

    Dark wave depics Lithuania’s vibe pretty accuratelly:
    Solo Ansamblis – Įstriži žiburiai

    Folk Song meets electronic music:
    Girių dvasios – Gervela dai ciuto

  6. Ok I know that you’re trying to get help from Lithuania, but theres already alot of suggestions so im going to recommend hebrew music. I don’t know much about the languege or where it originated from, but I think its a beautiful language that was on brink of extinction. On wiki it says it’s a nomad language from Israel and it is one of the spoken languages by Israelites and their descendants jews, samaritans.
