  2. Thanks – I found this very interesting. I met Eugen Schaumann’s granddaughter at uni 20 years ago. She was trying to tell me his place in Finnish history but I wasn’t familiar enough with it to place him. I can now!

    it’s centuries. A lot of history our young identity should strive to comprehend. We’ve been the might of Sweden against Russia in many battles.

  4. Thanks for this. Despite being a native, most of my school years were spent abroad, and thus my knowledge of finnish history is substandard. Now I know more.
