Hard to believe this ship wreck is just 15 years old. The story: The ship was navigating the seas in moderate visibility and foggy patches, bound from Cork to Germany. However the weather wasn’t the reason for this wreckage. Apparently the chief officer’s trouser got stuck in a lever and while trying to get up he fell and got knocked unconscious. By the time he came back to consciousness, for the RMS Mülheim, it was too late.
I was at Cape Cornwall about 40 years ago, absolutely breathingly beautiful! Not sure if I’ll ever make it back, but it’s #1 on the bucket list
Land’s End is neither the southernmost nor westernmost point on the British mainland. Its claim to fame seems to be “most sticking-outiest bit”.
I’ve been inside that thing. It’s like an old, abandoned fun house at a fair or something. So creepy.
On my bucket list is to walk from Lands End to John o’ Groats.
I’m pretty sure this is a screenshot of my started base in Rust
Love sennen cove there, one of my favourite places in cornwall. The walk to porthcurno too has some great coves along the way.
I used to work at lands end but never seen that! Any more info on how you can actually see it??
I remember seeing that wreck when I was at Land’s End last summer. It was just after seeing a pod of dolphins hunting a massive bluefin tuna – one of the most extraordinary things I have ever seen. I managed to catch it on camera, too.
