It’s not military patch but police patch. To be precise it is III Department of SPKP Cracow. SPKP stands for Specjalny Pododdział Kontrterrorystyczny Policji, so it is like almost SWAT.
The critter is a bazyliszek (Basilisk).
In European bestiaries and legends, a Basilisk (Latin: Regulus), is a legendary reptile reputed to be king of serpents and said to have the power to cause death.
I cannot help you with identifying the military force that wears the patch, however.
It’s Polish, not polish ( like nail polish)
