When are Mone and Barrowman going to be on trial for fraud?
I don’t think any punishment will be harsh enough for me.
I’d like to see a change where a crime commited while in any office is also a count of treason.
Work at a bank and steal money via expenses: fraud = fine
Work at Westminster and steal money via expenses: fraud & treason = fine and 2 years in prison.
Work at a bank and do a bit of insider trading = fine, 5 years in prison
Work at Westminster and do a bit of insider trading = fine, 15 years in prison
Pedophile = prison time

The lawyers that denied any connections between Mone and the new firms… is there any sanction possible for that? Assuming it was a law firm that knew that there were actual connections?

First up, make sure they don’t leave the country, and neither does any more of their money. And then we need a clever prosecution which can highlight the maximum charge and have the funds recovered. And then we need them locked up for an enormous period of time to scare shit out of everyone else who stuck their nose in the trough. Then go after each of them.
Once the next party takes over, pretty sure she is done for.
