We don’t really have birds around our gaff, or at least we didn’t think we did.
At the kids insistence I bought and hung a little bird feeder and a few filled coconut husks, and now the place is like an aviary. I feel bad for not doing it before now, and would urge everyone to do it.

They also like dry cat food soaked in water

have seen this suggested on twitter as well, I don’t understand it though — what did birds do before humans left water for them?
Tell him to defrost it first, thrush have while sensitive beaks.
