I can understand their position. In the US, who would be responsible for OSHA violations and injury from home work?
“All employees will be required to work in bed. IT will be pushing software updates out over the next week to your laptops, and when we check the cameras, I don’t want to see anything but pajamas and pillows.”
Pretty sure it’s a government provided benefit that employers pay into on behalf of their employees so they are not paying for the injury.
The company pays premiums for the insurance but it will not increase because of usage
