So this place will probaly be closed for well over 2 more years while they try think up a way to stop young people congregating there? And make a non skateable plaza?
Will the plan include little robots to go around and collect empty cans and bottles?
Nimbyism is really the bane of our country. Here’s an opportunity to develop a new public space to allow people to spend time and be social outside of work, home or the pub and local residents immediately start to raise concerns that people might have the audacity to use it to skateboard
Is there anything to be said for putting another hotel there?
So they want to close off one of the few already decent canal-side areas in the city to make it “better.”
Why not start with one of the many shite ones and improve them instead?
The image used is of Gards moving people on for drinking FFS. Talk about a leading image.
So they’re planning to redesign the place for events, but don’t include plans for public toilets?
Is it really THAT hard to accommodate people’s needs, outside of forcing them to go into a business?
