  1. Yeah Denmark has some real funky ways to say numbers, whenever I’m there I just hand over my money and hope I get the right amount back.

  2. Yeah, as a Dutch speaking person this annoys me. I’m speaking multiple languages and yes, the number thing is easier in most other languages then Dutch. And I have had to pause to get it right after switching languages.

    Also. Denmark, you okay?

  3. Norway used to say 2 + 90,but the national phone company asked the government to change how Norwegians spoke to reduce the amount of wrong numbers dialled. So the government changed the Norwegian language.

  4. Learning french in school i thought their Numbers were the stupidist thing ever… then my dad explained me our own Numbers and i realized that i was counting as if i were on a market place in the sekstenstyvendeårhundrede (1600s)

  5. The weirdest thing for people learning the danish system is the “5-0.5” part. In english you’ll say 4 and a half, we say half 5. It’s the same if you ask for the time.
