Labour MPs have urged the Conservatives to discipline a local party that posted a video of Sadiq Khan’s face “through the sight on a gun”.

The Tottenham Conservatives group posted the video of the mayor of London to TikTok and Facebook this week as part of their campaign against his clean air policies.

The video depicts Mr Khan manically laughing at voters while being observed through what appears to be a scoped lens with crosshairs.

  2. Didn’t someone in the US do this and get several people murdered? I think perhaps there is precedent here.

  3. The assassinations of Jo Cox and David Amess (whose politics I found despicable) should be more than enough to convince us all that death threats need to be taken seriously.

It’s bad enough knowing that soldiers have been using photos of Corbyn for target practice, or that Butler has been driven out of her office by lunatics threatening violence against her, but a political party doing this sort of thing leaves me a bit lost for words, honestly.

Where is the line when it comes to tories? They appear to have free rein to do as they please and the country simply doesn’t want to hold them accountable.
