The Big Four supermarket has taken an average of 4.5p off of petrol and slashed diesel prices by roughly 5.5p.
Asda is now charging an average of 153.5p for petrol and 176.7p for diesel, which is around 2p less than its rivals.
Only helpful for a small proportion but Costco is in my experience way cheaper – 10p/l cheaper today versus the Asda 2mins up the road from the Edinburgh Costco.
The sceptic in me thinks this might be related to the recent CMA announcement.
