Sinéad O’Connor – Beauty

  1. Not to be a combative social media user, but…..

    ….and I hate being this guy…..

She specifically shaved her head so people would focus on the art and not the beauty of the artist.

That said, total smokeshow and 100% agreed. Quite a set of pipes too

  2. The recent documentary about her is very good. I think it’s called “Nothing Compares” – addresses the whole American fallout very well.

  3. Here’s my one piece of Sinead O’Connor trivia:

She has an uncredited role as Emily Bronte in Wuthering Heights (1992) starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.

  4. It is impossible for her to look bad. Shaven head. A bit of weight. Middle age. Grief. Mental health issues. Through it all she remains physically gorgeous and so generous in her spirit. So compassionate and considerate of others. She is a national and global treasure.

  5. Yes, a beautiful young, talented woman. She’s had her demons to contend with, but i hope she is in a better place now, and enjoying life.

  6. Am I missing something here? Don’t like her music, look, religion or politics. Sorry Sinead but it’s a NO from me

genuinely one of Ireland’s most unique voices/artists.

Troy reached number 48 in the UK charts, which is criminal.

if pieces like wuthering heights by Kate Bush are considered classics, then this should be.

Ripping up the pope and basically telling music execs to fuck off (fair play to her) killed her chance to really explode but she clearly didn’t want that.

The US music industry thought they could control a little Irish girl, who was in reality a firecracker and wild passionate artist with a real struggle, and then rejected her when they realised they couldn’t. Just a classic case of the World underestimating the Irish spirit/strength. (at least in the past) if she was English she’d be seen as one of the greats. U2 played the game, and Americanised themselves to build that mythos
