Mobile Vikings goes one better and should really be able to put pressure on the competition with this.

  1. I still just pay Three.ie 20 quid per month – prepaid – for unlimited data. And despite EU roaming rules nothing ever got cut off or slowed down. Belgium is just horribly expensive for mobile data.

  2. I really expected things to go downhill after Proximus took over. Apparently not however i still expect some unpleasant surprise somewhere.

  3. I couldn’t believe it. When I read the headline I thought I was messing up the dutch. Apparently they won’t start throttling speeds on unlimited until 50 gigs now, which is awesome.

  4. I pay 20€/month for 10gb at Orange but I do get a 1+1 ticket deal on every Tuesday. Also some other small promotional things and some free cookies so I’m okay with that.

Edit: who are all the bots downvoting lol, is this an ad or what?

  5. The really great thing is that the government passed new legislation that people who have “unlimited data” cannot be limited by a ‘fair use policy’ if 90% of the people is over the FUP. So basically untill the point 90% of the people don’t make it to their FUP providers will have to up their ‘highspeed’ unlimited data.

They have 6 months to adjust. So watch in 6 months when companys will start promoting this as if it was their idea all along.

  6. Damn, was just about to start looking to switch to you phone for a better price…. Guess I won’t need to anymore

  7. I’m in the Netherlands and currently pay 15€ for 20GB/200 minutes.

I hope Mobile Vikings moves things forward in Belgium, those prices from proximus ate atrocious.

  8. Still got a better deal with base. They had a promotion that gave -5euro on their plans lifelong. So i have 10gb standard and whats left gets transfered to the next month and this for 15 euro/month.

    Also free calls and texting

  9. Obviously they had to do something, their prices were absurdly high for absurdly low amounts of data compared to the competition. With this update, they’re kind of catching up with other providers, but I don’t expect any “pressure on the competition” LOL.

If they want to be the AliExpress of mobile providers in terms of service, they’ll need to be the AliExpress of mobile providers in terms of prices as well. Otherwise they’ll just keep losing market share.

  10. So I guess they don’t care about offering a good deal to people that only use 1GB/month.

  11. My experience of being a 3 year MV customer is that what is advertised looks great. In reality I had 20% of the time not a single cellular connection. Not internet, nor messages/calls. Customer service was inexistant.
