Does anyone know what the writing says.

  1. The first writing:

    ” As a keepsake

    To the beloved daughter-in-law and son along with the grandchildren

    Send grandmother and aunt with children

    Chmielnik, (I’m not sure what those two(?) letters are, but I believe it’s just “on”) 14 Jan [19]57″

    The second writing:

    “As a keepsake

    for the whole family”

    It might be worth noting that even on this short sample you can see an old-fashioned form of the word “send” (“zasyłają” instead of “wysyłają”)

    And apparently also a spelling mistake (“wnóczkami” instead of “wnuczkami” – “with the grandchildren”)

    Also on the second writing there is a stamp:

    “Photographic Studio

    * J. BONAR *

    CHMIELNIK”
