Great stuff. Imagine a CEO actually realising that the 45+ hour workweek is complete bollocks for most job roles. The 9-5 work week is a relic from a time where there were rarely two working adults per household, and when it was expected that there would be a housewife in the home to take care of all of the admin/chores. This obviously isn’t the case anymore so why does it remain so prevalent?
This is literally nothing to shout about and nothing revolutionary.
It would have been better to allow people to just work the 34 hours to which what works best for them (within reason obviously)
I do 35 hour weeks and have done for years, over 5 days and I am trusted on how I distribute those hours on a daily basis.
People shouldn’t be celebrating this but instead push for more flexibility and better pay so people don’t have to work more than 37/38 hours per week to live a comfortable life
Also, sick days. Like, there is no reason I need to provide you doctors notes. If I am sick, let me be. You’ll be fine to miss me some days.
