Are the French or Germany going to complain that they’re of Norman or Saxon origin and thereby belong to them? Like how Greece wants the Elgin Marbles back?

I always find it fascinating that the assumption behind these types of findings is one of “class”.
This lady must have been very important socially cos the shiny thing is *expensive*.
It’s never “someone loved her”.
We dig history up and then carefully and deliberately remove all humanity from it.
Findings like this must be so exciting for the archaeologists on site. Bet that was a day they won’t forget
