Past weekend ‘Nuts Days’ were held in Bastogne (more info in comments)!

1. Past weekend the start of the [Battle of the Bulge](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Bulge) was remembered in Bastogne during ‘Nuts Days’.

   Bastogne Barracks (one of our six remembrance sites) took part too.

   It was in these barracks that the American General McAuliffe gave his famous ‘Nuts!’ reply in response to the German demand to surrender the town!

3. The Bastogne War Museum and Memorial is worth visiting as well!

4. liked seeing some Sherman’s live again but nothing beats the tiger in that one museum in the uk

5. fml, I missed this by like 1 day. I passed through Bastogne after a weekend in Luxembourg but the barracks were closed on monday 🙁

   I still got to see the remnants of the foxholes in the forest which were pretty impressive already

6. Omfg I wasn’t aware of this! Wish I was there. Been so long since I’ve been in Bastogne too.

7. I was there on Sunday, it was amazing. But please for God’s sake this stupid tiktok style doesn’t really fit for a war museum. Let us hear that amazing Sherman instead.
