Norwegian Christmas Starterpack

  1. More proof that Bergen is not Norway: bad weather (almost +10 degrees today) and we won’t even touch ribbe with a stick. Power bill checks out, tho.

  2. We’re getting about -3 degrees on the 24th here. A bit too hot if you ask me. And we *might* get snow.

The snow we’ve had for a week or two now is almost entirely gone, and the temperature has risen to 5-10 degrees.

  3. There is such a rich, beautiful, progressive, happy, pretty much perfect country. But they have frozen Christmas pizza. Are the Norwegians doing this on purpose to make it all not too top-class?

  4. Where is “Tri oríšky pro Popelku” ? (Three nuts for Cinderella). This is Czechoslovak movie from 80s which 3 countries run during 24th evening. Czechia, Slovakia and Norway…

Edit: Oh I see the very subtle nut reference

  5. Meg: Hva vil du ha til jul pappa?

Pappa: En klem og snille barn.

(English translation for those learning norwegian)

Me: What do you want for Christmas dad?

Dad: A hug and nice children.
