Politicians – “Covid fraud taskforce, just not worth it to go after the money.”.
Also politicians – “£280 million to go after benefit fraud and errors, where do I sign!”.

Imagine what an extra £3.4 Billion would have done if it were applied to reducing electricity prices
After what we have just seen with Michelle Mone, we clearly need it more than ever. It is also likely why the government is keen to close it, lest it reveal more stories of MPs and councillors using the PPE fast lane to make a bit of money.
Did the British government just really like “Ozark” and thought they’d try this money laundering thing? Why stop there, just make a cartel.
The legal definition of treason needs to be changed to disloyalty to the people rather than disloyalty to the crown.

Well, this has inspired me to submit my tax return. We are being played like a fiddle.
Just gonna post, coz why not.
I went self employed sept 2019.
When everything closed, I was entitled to zero help. Nothing. I rang HMRC, spoke to citizens advice and even tried an accountant. Because I didn’t have a full years books not only could I not get any furlough, I couldn’t apply for any of the SE grants.
That’s annoying enough.
Now your telling me 3.4 billion went missing.
So you managed to fuck over people that needed it by giving them nothing. And you managed to give 3.4 billion away to people that probably didn’t need it.
Annoyed is an understatement
Eeh , its never wise to continue a criminal investigation when you realize that you and your friends are the majority perpetrators🙄
Yet they can put over a quarter of a billion pounds into the DWP to keep hounding more disabled people to death over 50p. What a fantastic country.
This is will be swiftly swiped under the rug. Everyone is busy with Harry and Meghan atm, so no one cares.
The tories do like to throw money away as long as it’s not to the people that need it.

A lot of people have no idea the extent this was milked. Any Bob, Jerry and Dave with a dormant Ltd was allowed to claim the tens of thousands of pounds per company, all they had to do was serve up ‘self-validated’ accounts.
Of course, once money received, they just dissolve the Ltd and keep the money. Heard of plenty of people doing this.
What an absolute fucking shit show.
Let’s not forget the hundreds of millions of pounds worth of PPE contracts issued to 2 week old companies. Surely nothing dodgy afoot?

For context, £3.4bn is enough to give the entire NHS (which is something like 2.5% of the UK workforce) a 7% pay rise instead of 2-3%
This is literally enough money to be the difference between 1.2 million being able to pay their rising bills or not
