On this day in 2016, Andrei Karlov (Russia’s ambassador to Turkey) was assassinated at an art gallery in Ankara.

  1. I recall this event. I was very worried the Turks would blame the tsar and drag us into it and Prussia would probably do something silly

  2. Either that guy has a really long finger or there’s some artifact created by the interaction of a rapidly-moving object and how the camera works.

  3. I don’t know why I remember this happening in March or February. I wasn’t preparing for Christmas

  4. The most surprising information I learned about this event; It was that the assassin ate 1 KG of baklava before the assassination. (to stay calm)

  5. Came hoping to learn why he killed the ambassador. Instead for the same boring shitty jokes. I need to get off this site and get a life.

  6. Weird secondary. The Picture of him dead which was in the newspapers in Turkey (IIRC) was also used as a placeholder image in the first season of the Telltale Batman series and they forget to take it out so on the first day people saw a real corpse in the cape game.
