The building in the center is the [Hotel Metropole](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_Metropole,_Vienna), which served as the Gestapo headquarters in Vienna. It has since been demolished. The second one was taken from Marienbrücke towards [Dianabad](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dianabad_(Wien)). It was heavily damaged in the war and was later demolished. The area looks very different today.
