Just when you think this story couldn’t get any fucking worse.

‘Mr Rooney’ Loyalist toilet paper hamster litter Belfast Telegraph can’t even call the soldier by his proper title even in English. If it was a brit from Ballymena they’d be demanding swift and bloody vengeance for one of their lads.
Condolences to his family, friends and fellow soldiers.
It’s easy to forget that Lebanon is still actively dangerous for soldiers out there. No matter what justice the animals that did this get, it won’t bring solice to his family.
He died a hero and his family should be proud of his courage and bravery in serving our country, providing peacekeeping and security to other nations. May he rest in peace.
Got to be honest: as the parent of an even younger soldier, my heart is broken 💔 for his family. Sean, like so many others lived to do nothing else. It is their ‘dream job’ and as a parent we cannot but support them in the pursuit of that dream. But when tragedy comes knocking, the pain is no less coloured by they dying doing what they love. Heartbreaking. Every pic of Sean I see, i have similar of my son. Young, brilliant, proud.

I was going through the UNIFIL page on wikipedia, and apparently Ireland has had the largest loss of life there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Interim_Force_in_Lebanon#Fatalities
