Shipping/Customs question- I frequently send gifts to a friend in Prague. I’m getting tariff’d. I own a business but I give these items away to him for free. You can see the total declared value is $.43 but I was charged $77 in import taxes and fees. Is there a way to avoid such high tax/tariffs?

Country of origin: CN. Yeah that’s the problem. Since China is abusing rules of international postal union by sending commercial packages as *gifts* the only solution was enacting tarifs on each package regardless of claimed value, otherwise Czech government would be losing money from each package.
I just payed 2k czk for a 3k czk product from us. None really knows how it works 👍
Also if the declared value is obviously lower than the goods, then they will come up with their own numbers, have fun.
