After hearing Ronan Keating’s version and Damien Dempsey’s version I didn’t think it could be butchered any worse. I was wrong.
Can I appeal to all Irish artists to please agree right now to a pact never to attempt to cover this song again – ever.
Just respect the original and enjoy it for what it is. Some songs should never be covered.
Only watched it to see if they’d change the lyric.
