Disabled Hampshire student had to pay for university bed

    I hate to say it but this is a bit naiive having just herself spent thousands on a bed. Thats the reality of why people cant go places. Disabled will always mean unable to do some things.

    And with councils ever fked itll get worse.

    Its not right but until we have some kind of like hover tech or like exosuits or something you see on youtube then its going to be tricky for people to do things.

    How do you make hiking suitable for someone with a disability for eg.

  2. I don’t understand why she needed a bed when she lives 13 miles away ? I get that the university is in a different county but it’s 13.miles away not the other side of the country, it also says she has a carer 24/7 , surely one of those carers drives and could transport her home.

    I am fully in support of making sure those that need help are given it, but this seems like a ‘nothing story’.
