I think Jaloviina, Cognac, or dark rum is preferred. Maybe one part alcohol, three parts glögi, but adjust by taste.
It’s not that traditional type of glögi, I’d just drink it without. But hard to mess too much up with relatively neutral spirit.

I’d probably just mix it with hot water. If you like some alcohol then maybe drink it separately, tyrni is kind of unusual flavour so I would not mix it with alcohol.
It has some spices, but no idea what. So try with vodka, it should be neutral. It is then personal preference how much..
1 part of 40% vodka and 7 parts of non-alcoholic drink will give you 5% mix.
