I agree with Jeremy, just putting it out there.
The royal family should step forward and condemn what Jeremy has said, like his own daughter has.
No quiet, secondhand, rumoured, ambiguous comment. They should put their face to it and state that it is wrong.
Anything less is basically endorsement at this point.
It’s obvious that Clarkson writes these things in order to be provocative. His purpose in writing things like this is partly to demonstrate how easy it is to provoke people into hysterical reactions.
And every single one of them has never watched a minute of him, this is like the entry level of Clarkson trolling.
It’s not just Clarkson, Piers Morgan and the Sun – millions of English people are taking their side and we need to accept that there’s a serious cultural problem in this country.
I’m now 100% totally opposed to having a monarchy in any form, including ceremonial.
I’m not quite at the point of wishing for a revolution, but it’s time for them to step down with some basic decency and then fuck off into the sunset forever.
