I’m working on a YouTube video about place name changes in Turkey. I’d love to have some real footage from an elderly Greek with ancestry from one of these places who still calls their hometown by their historicaly Greek name.
Nothing complicated, just a short video of them saying something like “My name is XYZ, I’m from [city name]” in Greek.

Isn’t he the guy that went to Caucasus for a war and 10 thousand men died before even the battle started because he forgot to take equipment for the cold weather in the Caucasian mountains?
I am from a small village in Lesvos called Baltziki and in Greek Νεες Κυδωνιες
Most villages in Ioannina have changed their names.
