I found this in Denner and found it surprising but maybe I am overreacting
In this thread: white people explaining why this is totally ok. Counting to 100…
If you are in the slightest concerned about the current anti-asian, anti-chinese festival… You got way way way worse things to worry and post about.
I see nothing wrong with this and don’t quite understand what’s racist about it.
That being said I wouldn’t care if they changed the packaging.
Are you not the same person that asked if it was ok for an employer to ask you if you were a Christian? But then later revealed it was a Christian charity that exposes Christian values in their mission statement. I think you are just trying to stir up controversy.
No im with you on that one. There is no space for overly exaggerated, racist depictions on food packaging or in general for that matter.
Didnt have any other Problems?
I’m Half-Swiss/Half-Chinese. I see nothing wrong with this, neither does my mother who is fully Chinese.
Please don’t come here with some social justice attitude and be “offended” for me and people like me.
Bruh.. I assume you are not even Chinese, right?
I relate to this, I also feel offended by what americans call ‘Swiss cheese’.
I don’t and this is one of my fav brand to be honest. The age of the brand kinda justify it, plus I prefer brands that stay true to their original image than other that will change everything just to follow the trend of « over anti-racism ». Warning, I’m not against changes, For exemple I accept saying tête de Choco instead of têt de nègre, but I didn’t find the brand uncle benz to be racist jus because they had a black men on the rice packet. It’s not like the brand was clearly insulting all Chinese peeps. It’s just an old and clichée packaging, that’s all
Why not? To much of the woke nonsense going around.
I am Chinese, and I am surprised of seeing so many products using the name of “xxx Chinese” in Switzerland. Well, I don’t feel offended. Instead I just want to know why.
