  1. Drove past the house today and yesterday and got a bit emotional seeing all the mourners, its just so sad.

  2. Am I right in reading that these young lads were bringing other lads back who were coming back on compassionate leave grounds for extended family funerals?

Weren’t they only out there for a couple of months on their first trip to Lebanon?

Why would they send young lads with not much experience to do such a dangerous job?

  3. Puts things into perspective. Imagine being from Ukraine where there have been thousands like Sean killed already and they are being killed every day, as well as civilians from bombing. We don’t know how lucky we are to be alive at this time in Ireland.

  4. I just find it unbelievable. A year younger than myself, not that I’m comparing but it just puts it into perspective that a young lad has lost his live, his fiancée grieving and his families lives changed forever. It’s heartbreaking.

Thank you for your service to the country, the United Nations and to peace across all nations.
