“The court was told that the 2018 accident is one of three road traffic accidents, the others taking place in 2016 and 2020, that Mr Joyce has been involved in where he has complained of suffering from pains in his lower back.
Under cross-examination from Peter Klein for the other driver’s insurers, Mr Joyce initially stated he was not involved in any other accident after the 2018 accident. Judge Comerford said he accepted that Mr Joyce “wasn’t frank about his claims history” and “was far too cagey about his claims history”.
However, he added that Mr Joyce’s evidence concerning his claims history didn’t meet the threshold for dismissing his claim for the 2018 accident.”
Brilliant, that won’t discourage the unlucky Mr Joyce from taking to the road again anyway….
Insurance companies can’t be arsed to contest bogus claims if the defendants have a doctor’s letter
Mr Joyce the gym enthusiast.
Should have been jailed for perjury but got €8k instead. Great little country altogether.
Perhaps it’s time we started capping “injury” payouts to the equivalent of what individuals have paid in tax over their lifetime.
I’d say he’s some lad on the stair master
“gym enthusiast” LOL
Is gym enthusiast some euphemism for scam artist I’ve never heard before?
Perhaps this fella is just really unlucky. Yeah on balance of probabilities that’s probably it
all sorted so he’ll be back to his old tricks in no time
Well we know what he looks like, lets go pay him a visit and make sure he won’t be able to lift a bag since this will blow back on all our premiums if cunts like him keep making claims on shit stuff like that…
He comes from a rich gym culture does he? Just like those gym enthusiasts in Rathkeale recently who got quite a workout
Why does the article bother even specifying “gym enthusiast”, as opposed to just saying “a man from Longford”
