Paywalled. But see from the start of the article he was sendimg them to a consultant instead of a gp.

I’ve heard of this happening. If the Plaintiff hasn’t been referred by their treating doctor then they don’t need a psychiatrist. There’s only one reason for a solicitor to be referring a client to specialists… manufacturing evidence in an attempt up the damages.
